We want to drive your attention to a new article on Sri Aurobindo by Ananda Reddy, Ph.D., Director of 'Institute of Human Studies' in Pondicherry. Dr. Reddy introduces us in his article 'Evolution and The Destiny of Man in Sri Aurobindo' to the philosophy of Sri Aurobindo, the great Indian philosopher, visionary, saint and poet. The author connects it with Sri Aurobindo's traditional and philosophical background.

This article gives an opportunity even for the non-experienced reader to develop comprehension of the integral thinking of Sri Aurobindo and for his visions of cosmic reality and reality of life, without necessarily studying volumes.

Dr. Reddy himself did not only match theoretically with the Aurobindean thinking, but he grew up with and in it. His father, professor V. Madhusudhan Reddy lived as a companion and friend in the surroundings of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother.

Sri Aurobindo and Jean Marie Gebser, the Swiss cultural philosopher and scholar, both have defined integral consciousness and how to develop as a result; independent from each other nearly at the same time, basing on their Eastern respectively Western origin.

Best regards, Carla Geerdes
