Today we live in a world, where the subject 'education' has become a central focus again. Juvenile delinquency, organized crime, the fact, that offenders are becoming more and more younger, are an alarming sign, questioning the quality of our education system. We can watch the global tendency to reduce the education system, without considering its consequences for the future. It seems, that this kind of rationalization is meant to prepare the young generation for a world, that in reality cannot be looked upon as an example for them anymore. The superiority of material values over social behaviour has become a predominant task of education of today, leading young people to a false orientation in life. Living in a world, that is becoming more and more mechanical, virtual realities revealing fascinating opportunities to stimulate the brain faster and faster, calls for a need to bring inner values especially to the young generation, in order to give them the chance to establish an inner balance and trust. That way they can contribute to social prosperity, without becoming sick during that process.

Dr. Aboti's approach to this complex problem is indeed pleasant. He is not, like many others, getting lost in the endless discussion of Pro and Contra, analyzing the advantage and disadvantage of tradition and modern society and modern progress in general. Being until recently a senior manager of a large company, he reveals his opinion from an economist’s point of view. He leads the reader through the history of education from ancient times until today, presenting its most popular reformers and concepts and presenting these ideas in relevance to modern society. Furthermore this very profound investigated article provides the reader not only with a most interesting interdisciplinary approach, much more it inspires the reader to think about his environment and to consider education as a part of universal and global processes, being an active part himself.
