Reading this article, I, whose task it is to write the introduction, had to realize, that I was somehow helpless. Searching for words, which would highlight the central point of the article, suddenly the thought came into my mind, that this might exactly be the author’s intention: to liberate the reader from usual patterns of thinking and to make him think in a different way.

In our modern world we got used to solve problems fast and efficient and to adapt developments and solutions, that guarantee us to achieve our goals - wealth and happiness - as fast as possible. In general we are confronted with preconceived thought patterns, telling us exactly what to do, to think and to feel, in order to become successful and happy. Just imagine nowadays the 'boom' of all the advices given in books, that suggest ways to material success, individual happiness, solving of problems, dealing with love, liberation and spiritual growth. Almost all problems seem to be solved, all natural phenomena to be explained on the threshold to a new era - the 21st century. But sooner or later, even after experiencing good feelings and inspiration, we fall back into our personal misery.

Is it possible, that we forgot to think on our own? To explore universe, life and the wonders of this planet all by ourselves?

Discussing the subjects Science, Global Consciousness and the Self, the author does not provide us with definitions and means of solutions. Much more he takes us on a trip into his world of thought, or 'personal universe', as he calls it himself and gives us the chance, to follow the process of emergence of his philosophy. I must admit though, that he seduced me, treating a subject, that in general is considered as 'heavy mind-stuff', in such a personal, lovingly and humorous way. Furthermore his presentation proves his profound knowledge in every sentence. I have to thing of a proverb, that says, that you can recognize wise people according to their sense of humour. In that sense, dear reader of this article, I wish to give you the good advice: let Yash Pal seduce you, allow him to take you away into the endless realms of your own fascinating mind and let your own inspiration surprise you.
